Used primarily on commercial projects where access is good, especially on steep slopes along roadways. Hydroseeding helps cut labor costs when seeding large areas. The ground is prepared in the same manner as traditional seeding prior to seed application

  • Removing existing grass and weeds if necessary.
  • Finish grading to create a smooth surface and positive drainage.
  • Topsoil or compost may be added if desired.
  • Soil preparation including pulverizing, raking, rock pick up etc., to create a good seedbed.
  • Seed and fertilizer is hydraulically applied through a hydroseeder in one step.
  • Once the area has been seeded, straw is applied
  • Hydro mulch tackifier (glue) is then applied over the straw with a hydroseeder to help stabilize the straw
